New Center in Florida to Serve WOA-Affiliated Youth Ministry in Reaching Students with the Hope of the Gospel

The World Olivet Assembly (WOA) is pleased to announce the acquisition of a church facility in Sanford, Florida this week. Formerly used by Central Baptist Church of Sanford, the new center just north of Orlando will now serve as an administrative center of Youth Evangelical Fellowship (YEF), a WOA-affiliated parachurch organization focused on reaching students with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Located in the southern part of Sanford some 20 miles from downtown Orlando, the new property includes a chapel and several office buildings. In addition to administration, it will also be home to a local YEF chapter serving the surrounding area.

“We are very grateful to receive this beautiful place and continue its legacy of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with people locally and beyond,” said Pastor Mark Spisak, General Secretary of WOA. “The ongoing pandemic with the closure of campuses and the social isolation have led to increased stress on the younger generation, including many students who feel lonely and depressed. YEF exists to share the hope of the Gospel, provide online fellowship to students and help them find new purpose in their lives. Therefore, this new center has been found at a critical moment and will help support YEF operations and staff, so that they can reach more students during a very challenging time in their lives.”

The YEF leaders and staff will begin to use the new center starting this week and look forward to engaging with and blessing the local community in Sanford. A meet and greet event for local neighbors will be held in the near future, as public health guidelines allow.
